Dan Skjæveland, 03.-04.08.18

The exhibition is a retrospective exhibition, which in different ways leads us through Dan Skjæveland's projects from the last six years. Here we are able to recap with the photographs that were shown in Høstutstillingen in 2014, read texts about the work, browse sample copies of a book he works with Bill Dane, and see photographs from previous exhibitions. In this exhibition Dan Skjæveland also presented new work that had not yet been exhibited.

Dan Skjæveland (b. 1987) was raised in Kvernaland, Norway, and was accepted with three works in Høstutstillingen 2014. He has received several grants for his work, including grants from the Statens Kunstnerstipend, Norsk Fotografisk Fond and Norsk Kulturråd (Norwegian Culture Council). In recent years he has exhibited a number of times, most recently at the Bryne Kunstforening (2017). Dan is a member of several artist organizations, including Norske Billedkunstnere and Forbundet Frie Fotografer. He is currently residing in Trondheim, where he teaches photography at Skogn Folkehøgskole.
