Kristine Skadberg Hasseløy, 13.-14.10.18

Kristine Skadberg Hasseløy is born in Stavanger, currently based in Drammen. In 2004, she showed her paintings publicly for the first time, and has sold art in the private market since then. The production is presented through great variety. In this exhibition Hasseløy has used acrylic paint, coal, ink and pastel chalk. Her art is often recognized by light, delicate layers of paint, combined with strong color explosions. Many hours of labor has been laid down into each individual artwork, and each canvas tells its own unique story through layers of surfaces and paint.

Hasseløy is interested in interior, which is reflected in her home and in what she likes to surround herself with. Her inspiration derives from people, stories and local communities. Artists such as Jacob Weidemann, Inger Sitter and Kåre Tveter have also been highly regarded as inspirational sources. Kristine Skadberg Hasseløy has experience as daily manager at Gunilla Holm Platous Gallery in Drammen, and has served as a right hand and personal assistant for Gunilla for several years.
