Follow the path into nature, Marit Silsand, 25.-28.09.20

During her project period at Studio K, Marit Silsand worked with interior materials as well as those from nature in an attempt to combine these two environments. The results were presented through photographs and sculptural installations. In dialogue with the photographs, Silsand will work with sculptural works, emphasizing the use of natural materials from Kverneland.

Silsand is presenting photographic works from the series «Follow the Line», a project where she is exploring the physical and material aspects of textile in photography. Inspired by Rayographs (a technique where one places objects on top of a light-sensitive material in the darkroom, exposes the paper and develops it), she experiments with the digital imaging of textiles with photo scanners to achieve the desired effect.

On September 26. and 27. the exhibition space was further developed when Silsand invited special designer and scenographer Line Sanne to work alongside her in the project space while opening it up for the public. Silsand and Sanne have collaborated on a variety of projects since 2011.
