Yttring / Outcrop, Moa Gustafsson Söndergaard, 20.-22.11.20

Moa Gustafsson Söndergaard is showing part of her research work Yttring/Outcrop for the first time. The project started to take shape already in 2015, when Söndergaard lived in Iceland, and for the first time saw the connection between how nature suffers due to harsh environmental factors in the same manner as her inherited skin condition. Five years later the work has grown into a research body of work that consists of sculpture, objects and digital work.

Moa Gustafsson Söndergaard (b.1991) Is A visual artist based in Malmö. Her sculptures deal with the relationship between the body and the object, the place and memory. Söndergaard asks questions regarding emotional value. Is it possible to charge an object with an emotion, to transcribe a place into a sculpture? She graduated with a MFA from Umeå Academy of Fine Arts in 2019 and has since then exhibited at Galleri Andersson Sandström (Stockholm) Lars palm Gallery (Sandviken, Sweden) and most recently at NEJD project space in Gothenburg. This will be Söndergaards first solo show in Norway.

The event was presented online.

The event is supported by Rogaland Fylkeskommune and Time Kommune.
