I Feel Less Shy When I’m So Close to You That You Can’t See Me, Runa Halleraker & Eleni Ieremia
Studio K is happy to welcome you to the duo exhibition by Runa Halleraker and Eleni Ieremia!
Runa and Eleni have been working together on a collaborative sculpture, with the intention of queering the material. This will be paired with individual works in the form of text and installation, all of which are trying to redefine notions of non-normativity.
During the opening there will be served a tiny edible experience.

Runa Halleraker is a Master’s student of Fine Arts at KMD in Bergen. Their work grows out of a deep interest in the medium of painting and expands to also include sculpture, text and installation. They investigate how artistic material can represent intersecting qualities of conflicting emotions. Their work is nonfigurative with a visual vocabulary ranging between sheer transparency and utter opacity. Runa is interested in gender discourse, feminism and queer issues. Previous exhibitions include Galleri Blunk, Trondheim (2021), Galleri FI4E, KODE 4, Bergen (2021), Kiosken, Bergen (2021), Färgfabriken, Stockholm (2020) and CGP Gallery, London (2019).
Eleni Ieremia is a Master’s student of Fine Arts at KMD in Bergen. Ieremia’s works often touch upon topics of space, work and invisibility as they explore characteristic features of materials and objects by redefining their contexts. With an academic degree in Art History behind her and a dedicated interest in the broader field of art leading the way, Ieremia’s art practices often take their point of departure in reflections on the social and material orders of the art world that surrounds her. She has previously been shown in group exhibitions at Hordaland Kunstsenter, Bergen (2020), Kode 4 TAKE OVER with Galleri FI4E, Bergen (2021), Small Projects, Tromsø (2019) and Kurant Visningsrom, Tromsø (2019).
